Irate youths in Oron, Akwa Ibom state today clashed with Customs Officers t Uya Oro junction in the community.
Trouble started when the Customs officer shot the tyre of a smugglers vehicle who was smuggling rice through the community.


The driver of the vehicle lost control and rammed into a motorcycle carrying some school pupils. The youths descended on the officers, beat them up and then burnt their vehicle.
